Today on the way to work I was behind a big Starship delivery truck, Starship being an adult novelty and video store. It wasn't a plain box truck either. It was bright, attention-grabbing purple with a big, attention-grabbing picture of a woman saying (via captioning, of course) "Follow me to Starship for..." I remember thinking, "Eventually, that truck is going to cause an accident because guys are staring at it instead of at the road." That is an accident scene I would love to drive past, assuming nobody is hurt. Imagine the truck overturned with its cargo strewn across the interstate. I think passers-by would go beyond rubbernecking. It would be interesting to see what mix of people would leave their cars to go scavenging.

At some point tomorrow evening I'm going off the grid for a little over a week. I will be in Arkansas until Memorial Day and I'm really looking forward to it. I won't have access to a computer and cellular connectivity will likely be sporadic. Nobody even think about trying to reach me. If I need you I will contact you. I'm such a dork. I don't even know who I'm talking to. I'm going to go play with my new free Xbox 360.

Tonight I was licensed by my church to preach. They've been letting me preach for the past couple of years, but now they've sort of officially endorsed me to the rest of the world. As a licensed minister I can perform weddings and funerals. I have my first wedding slated for October. It's one of my best friends which I think is pretty cool. She's told me that I can't do any other weddings before hers even if I'm asked, so if anybody wants me to perform a wedding ceremony, you have to wait until after October. I assume I am free to perform funerals before then so it's okay to die at any time.
